Javier Chenard was born and raised in Havana, Cuba, where he practiced law as an attorney before moving to the United States. After becoming a U.S. citizen, Chenard joined the United States Army and deployed as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. His first-hand experience of the sacrifices that our men and women in uniform make every day inspired him to return to law school, this time in the United States, so that he could help his fellow Veterans with their legal needs.
While working towards his Masters of Law (LL.M.) degree at Stetson University College of Law, Chenard discovered the area of Veterans Law and found his calling in the legal profession. After graduating with his LL.M., Chenard decided to pursue a U.S. law degree from Stetson. While pursuing his second law degree, he participated in the Veterans Advocacy Clinic at Stetson’s Veterans Law Institute.
Chenard is working as a law clerk at Centonzio Law as he prepares to sit for the Florida Bar Exam. He is a valued member of our team where he contributes with his military experience, legal knowledge, and dedication to help his fellow Veterans obtain the disability benefits they are entitled to receive.
